As university students traveling to India, prior to our departure we were made aware that a major requirement of our field school was to complete a project within the duration of our stay. Projects that often accompany trips abroad are called Service Learning Projects. Service learning projects are typically defined by what the students (or group) can do for the organization that is visited.

These SLP’s that have come from the IFS, past and present, are primarily focused on demonstrating a “with, not for” mentality.
